HAPPY 75th Day of School!!

North Shelby Tournament:  Boys play tonight at 4:30 @ NS, Girls play at 7pm at South Shelby Middle School.

KATC Informational Meeting with Cindy Basler for all sophomore students will be held on January 25th at 12pm during Homeroom.

Homecoming is just around the corner - February 9. Homecoming apparel order forms will be coming home with elementary students soon. HS kids can pick up a form in the HS office. You can also message Ms. Green.

Orders have to be in by Wednesday, January 24. Elementary students can turn their order forms and money to their classroom teachers. HS students can turn in their order forms and money at the HS office.

Teachers and Students-please prepare for an AMI day tomorrow---just incase.  An announcement will be made IF we need to use an AMI day tomorrow.

Thursday 18th

Breakfast:  French toast sticks with syrup or cereal with cheese sticks. Fruit, juice and milk.

Lunch:  Crispitos with cheese sauce or bologna & cheese sandwich. Corn, fruit, side salad and milk.

Friday 19th

Breakfast:  Biscuits & gravy with sausage patty or cereal with toast. Fruit, juice and milk.

Lunch:  Pizza or bologna & cheese sandwich. Mixed veggies, fruit, side salad and milk.

Scheduling Changes:

North Shelby Basketball tournament for the week of 1/15 has been changed, see brackets on our website/Facebook/or on TeacherEase.

The basketball game vs Atlanta scheduled for 1/9/24 is rescheduled for 1/22/24 at 6pm at Atlanta.

The FCCLA STAR Event Showcase night scheduled for 1/11/24 will be rescheduled for 1/24/24 at 6pm in the LHS Library.

The basketball game scheduled for 1/12/24 vs Meadville will be played on  2/7/24 at 6pm at LHS.

The basketball game scheduled for 1/10/24 vs Harrisburg at home (girls only) will be announced soon.

The winter dance scheduled for Saturday (1/13/24) has been rescheduled for Friday (2/16/24) at the Silver Rails.

1/26 – 4 quarters boys 6pm @ Cairo

2/9 – 2 quarter girls and 2 quarter boys @ Home 4:45pm

SCHOOL DANCE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS for Dances Excluding Prom (in addition to the attendance requirements above):

• Students must sign up to attend a dance 2 weeks in advance of the dance.  Guests who are not members of our school must do the same.  Failure to sign up in a timely manner will result in not being able to attend the dance.
• Students with 2 or more F’s in a quarter will not be able to attend a dance in the following quarter.
• Students must have 90% or higher cumulative attendance to attend a dance (unless it is waived by the principal)
• Students with 9 or more tardies in the quarter the dance is being held will not be allowed to attend.
• Students with 3 or more office referrals in the quarter the dance is being held will not be allowed to attend.
• Students who have received 2 or more days of ISS or OSS in a semester will not be allowed to attend a dance in that semester (if OSS occurs on day of dance student will not be allowed to attend).

PROM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

● Students must sign up to attend prom while the sign up sheet is in the office. If after the deadline, students must speak with the principal and sponsors. Guests who are not a member of our school must be approved.

● Students with 2 or more F's in Semester 1 will not be able to attend.

● Students must have 90 % cumulative attendance or higher— If attendance is lower than a 90%

the student must provide a written letter or go before administration and explain why they should

be able to attend

● Students may not have more than 9 tardies in any quarter prior to prom for the school year.

● Students with 3 or more office referrals or 3 or more days of ISS or OSS for the current school

year may not attend.

● To attend prom, all juniors must work the required concession stand shifts.

● Guests must be at least a 9th grader to attend prom or at the discretion of LHS administrators.

Guests 21 or older will be at the discretion of LHS administrators.
