HAPPY 56th Day of School!!

On Friday, we will have an assembly at 2pm in the gym.  This will be an educational experience from the Macon County Electric Coop.  Please remember assembly etiquette: 

ASSEMBLY CONDUCT:  All students are expected to pass to the gymnasium quietly and orderly, take their seats, and speak in low conversational tones until the program begins.  General guides for behavior at assemblies:

1.  Give the speaker your utmost cooperation and attention.  Phones should be put away and on silent or turned off.  The cell phone policy is in effect in an assembly setting.

2.  Treat performers as guests.

3.  Applaud only when applause is in order.

4.  At the close of the program, wait for the signal to leave, then proceed back to the proper classroom, quietly and orderly.

5.  The rule restricting public display of affection applies during assemblies.

6.  Any student acting in a rude disrespectful manner will be escorted out of the assembly and will not be allowed to attend any assemblies for the remainder of the school year.

IF YOU HAVE AN OUTSIDE GUEST, YOU NEED TO GET A FORM TURNED IN ASAP.  GUESTS FROM OTHER SCHOOLS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE DANCE IF THEY DON'T HAVE A FORM TURNED IN.

The Winter Dance is on Friday, December 8th 8pm-10pm in the Elementary Gym.  It is 5 per person or 8 per couple.  This is a formal attire event.  Sign up was sent to your email or it is on Mrs. Lock's google classroom.  Please sign up by Dec 5th at noon.  IF you are bringing a guest from a different school, stop by the office to pick up a guest form!

Reminder, here is the dance eligibility requirements:

SCHOOL DANCE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS for Dances Excluding Prom (in addition to the attendance requirements above):

• Students must sign up to attend a dance 2 weeks in advance of the dance.  Guests who are not members of our school must do the same.  Failure to sign up in a timely manner will result in not being able to attend the dance.
• Students with 2 or more F’s in a quarter will not be able to attend a dance in the following quarter.
• Students must have 90% or higher cumulative attendance to attend a dance (unless it is waived by the principal)
• Students with 9 or more tardies in the quarter the dance is being held will not be allowed to attend.
• Students with 3 or more office referrals in the quarter the dance is being held will not be allowed to attend.
• Students who have received 2 or more days of ISS or OSS in a semester will not be allowed to attend a dance in that semester (if OSS occurs on day of dance student will not be allowed to attend).

PAYDAY is scheduled for December 15th.  Please give your teachers ideas of fun activities.  Sign ups will be out later.  Teachers---please sign up on the google sheet that was sent out.

Girls HS Basketball vs Harrisburg. Home game 1/10 girls only! We will start JV @ 6pm 2 quarters and V to follow.

12/5 – 2 quarters girls 530pm @ Bevier

12/15 -- 4 quarters boys starting at 5pm @ home vs Marceline

12/18 – 4 quarters boys 5pm @ Marion Co.

1/9 – 4 quarter boys 5pm @ Atlanta

1/10 2 quarter girls 6pm @ Home

1/26 – 4 quarters boys 6pm @ Cairo

2/9 – 2 quarter girls and 2 quarter boys @ Home 4:45pm
