Happy 45th Day of School! 

Important Announcements:

Wear Red, White and/or Blue on Friday to celebrate our Veteran's.  Please bring change to donate to the Mid-Mo Fisher House to support Veteran's and their families.  You can read more about this cause on the flyer below.  There is a competition between the Elementary and High School.  Let's win by supporting a GREAT cause!

If parents drop off lunches for students in the office, students may only eat their lunch during scheduled lunch time.

PRACTICE FOR VETERANS DAY

We will have a practice for Veteran's Day on Wednesday 11/6 at 2:30 in the gym.  Please make arrangements to be there if you are involved in the assembly.

DENTAL MOBILE SERVICES

The Northeast Missouri Health Council Mobile Unit has offered to come to La Plata RII. They will check and do any dental work needed within their scope here at the school. Permission slips can be sent home for you to fill out for your student to take advantage of this service. Please call to request the needed documentation.

Veteran's Day Celebration
Don’t forget to join us for a celebration to acknowledge our heroes!  Veterans are invited to join us for lunch at the HS Ag shop-11:00 am on November 8th, and the community is invited for our annual assembly at 1:30 in the HS Gym.

If you are interested in HS Boys Basketball, HS Girls Basketball, and HS Cheer-please see the coach.  Practices start soon and you don't want to miss out!

Student Reminder:

We have a very important assembly on Friday.  Please review below.  Points will be given to students/grade levels for the CLASS Cup Award.  Teachers will be making tallies for points and reporting the points to Mr. Pippin after the assembly!  Let's show our Bulldog Pride as we honor the Veteran's that gave us our Freedom!

ASSEMBLY CONDUCT:  All students are expected to pass to the gymnasium quietly and orderly, take their seats, and speak in low conversational tones until the program begins.  General guides for behavior at assemblies:

1.  Give the speaker your utmost cooperation and attention.  Phones should be put away and on silent or turned off.  The cell phone policy is in effect in an assembly setting.

2.  Treat performers as guests.

3.  Applaud only when applause is in order.

4.  At the close of the program, wait for the signal to leave, then proceed back to the 

     proper classroom, quietly and orderly.

5.  The rule restricting public display of affection applies during assemblies.

6.  Any student acting in a rude disrespectful manner will be escorted out of the assembly 

     and will not be allowed to attend any assemblies for the remainder of the school year.
