HAPPY 44th Day of School!!


Parking: Please DO NOT park on W Moore Street in front of the Christian Church.  That parking is reserved for Church members. There are daily events at the church and those spaces are needed for church members.


Monday 11/6-W Moore Street will be blocked off for funeral parking. All students and staff will need to park on the North side of the HIGH SCHOOL.

MachTech is not in session on Monday, 11/6.

KATC is in session and will load the bus on the NORTH side of the HS. Please park in the west parking lot by the HS. 


Art Club will be meeting Tuesday, Nov. 7 after school until 4:30


We will have a Veteran's Day Practice on Thursday at 2:10. Please make arrangements to attend if you are a part of the Veteran's Day Assembly. Meet in the gym.


Open GYM PLT during 8th hour is considered a Privilege Time.  To be eligible for this activity, you need to meet the following criteria:

-All A, B, C in your classes as of Tuesday of the current week.

-Attendance is above 90%

-No office referrals for the previous week.

If you feel like you are eligible and still can't sign up, please email Mrs. Smoot.


Teachers, please make sure your grades are updated by Tuesday morning!


HOMEROOM CONTEST WINNERS: (Prizes will be delivered this week to your homeroom)

Door Decorating: 1st: Ms. Davidson, 2nd: Mrs. Smith 

Poster Contest: 1st: Mrs. Bane, 2nd: Mr. King

FCCLA Trick or Treat for Canned Goods (Over 600 cans collected in total): 1st: Hardwick, 2nd: Pearson, 3rd: Hulett 



Parents:  YOU can now pay fees and lunch balances through the mobile app. Please update to the latest mobile app version of teacherease.


JH Basketball Games

November 2nd: 2 regular away games at Green City 6pm 

November 3rd: 2 B quarters girls at 5:30 followed by 2 regular games at Marion County

Brashear (11/13)- 2 quarter Girls and Boys starting at 5 pm

Atlanta (11/14)- 4 quarter Boys starting at 5pm



Reminder there should be no bags in the hallways outside of the lockers.  Please keep big bags in the office or in your locker.


Trick or Treat for Canned Goods

FCCLA STAR event - Trista, Kendrick and Tate


For Homeroom, the week of October 31st, FCCLA is hosting a canned/box food drive competition with each of the homerooms.  The homeroom to collect the most canned goods/boxes will be provided with a pizza party a week or so after all the food is collected on November 3rd. 


Please bring the canned goods/boxes into your homeroom teacher and they will collect them and count them each day.  Then they will turn the numbers into either Trista, Kendrick, or Tate. All food collected will go to the LaPlata Food Pantry.
